Description
SUMMARY:
The Warehouse and Inventory Supervisor provides direct supervision of Supply Chain team members and facilitates and directs day to day activities of the warehouse, inventory control, and shipping and receiving areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Warehouse & Inventory Control
Supervises the operational activities involved with handling and control of inventory used in support of plant maintenance, production, and operations.
Manages reclamation of vendor quality issues and coordinates with buyers to ensure timely reimbursement.
Coordinates and directs daily and perpetual physical cycle counting cadence.
Monitors and reviews daily inventory adjustments and changes and creates reports as requested.
Resolves inventory issues / discrepancies, problem orders and intercompany transfer issues.
Recommends process changes to minimize inventory loss.
Directs and supervises inventory slotting to of items in pick locations to ensure maximized pick efficiency.
Consolidates reserve racks for optimization and utilization of space.
Insures replenishment teams are accurately completing tasks.
Maintains warehouse management system as directed.
Examines the levels of supplies and raw material to determine shortages.
Reports on inventory levels as requested.
Shipping and Receiving Management
Supervises shipping and receiving activities to make sure work meets quality standards and is performed according to established procedures.
Ensures the receipt, coordination, and safety of goods coming through the warehouse.
Directs and prioritizes the daily activities of Material Handlers and Shipping/Receiving personnel.
Operates lift trucks, pallet jacks, and other equipment to safely move parts to proper locations and load and unload steel trucks as necessary.
Oversees the receipt of purchased goods verifying counts and quality, completes transactions to receive product, processes paperwork and completes all necessary transactions according to established procedures. Locates product to the appropriate areas according to procedure.
Ensures incoming freight is inspected, documented and resolved in a timely manner.
Visually monitors inventory levels and communicates low levels to management as necessary.
Ensures appropriate warehouse management systems are used according to procedure for all shipping and receiving functions.
Maintains packaging inventory and order materials needed for the shipping area.
Completes inventory transactions to receive, assigns to a Bin location and issues inventory as required.
Ensures product is delivered on time, to the appropriate destinations, and in the expected quantities.
Ensures QC of all goods prior to leaving the warehouse.
Manages the delivery schedule of shipments. Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Additional Responsibilities:
Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
Notifies designated personnel of any environmental and safety incidents, or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and or Safety training.
Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in production, inventory management, or a warehouse environment.
Experience with duties that include shipping and receiving, warehouse and inventory management, maintenance and work order management is preferred.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Prior experience with inventory management systems is a plus.
