Job Description : Position: LaForce is currently seeking a full-time Warehouse Assistant for their warehouse space in Long Island City, Queens. The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for carrying out the logistics of receiving, processing, storing, and sending inventory and will report directly to the Director of Facilities. This is a non-exempt position.Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): Receive all incoming packages.Track inventory of all merchandise.Ensure that all merchandise is safely and securely stored in designated storage areas.Alert appropriate team members of delivery.Assist with shipping packages and mailer assembly on a regular basis.Handle any ad-hoc projects as needed or assigned.Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a candidate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While there will be time at a desk, the employee must be able to handle physical labor (i.e., packaging/ assembling product, moving/ carrying shipments, etc.)The employee must be able to safely lift, move and handle heavy objects, approximately +/- 50 pounds.Preferred Qualifications: Ability to stay organized while working in a fast-paced environment.Detailed-orientated.Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with people across all levels of the agency.Reliable and efficient.Job Type: Full-timePay: $18.00 per hourSchedule:Monday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Candidate is required to be vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination.Work Location: One location
