Our client, a leading Insurance Carrier, is seeking to add a Remote Workers Compensation Claims Examiner to their Southeast Operations. This role will consist of handling mid to complex Georgia Workers Compensation Lost Time claims from inception to close. Qualified candidates must be well-versed in Georgia Workers’ Compensation Law and have the ability to work remotely!

Handle moderate to complex workers compensation claims with minimal supervision and ‎guidance from the manager.
Investigate lost time claims by contacting injured workers, medical providers, and employer representatives; determine compensability under applicable state statutes.
Communicate with medical providers to develop and authorize appropriate treatment plans.
Review and analyze medical bills to confirm charges and treatments are injury-related and in accordance with the treatment plan.
Negotiate settlements with injured workers and attorneys.

Requirements:

3 – 8+ years of Workers Compensation Lost Time claims handling experience
Must be well-versed in GA Workers’ Compensation Law
Experience handling NC, SC, TN, AL, or WV claims is preferred
Must have experience handling litigated files.
Excellent Customer Service and Organizational skills.
High School Diploma; Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not required.

Salary/Benefits:

$70,000 to $85,000 annual base salary plus bonus
