Position : Accounts Payable Clerk
Job Description : Robert Half has a top-notch opportunity for a long-term contract to permanent Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk to join the team at a successful company in the Insurance industry. Processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. You will be working alongside a strong staff of hard working individuals who have a team minded approach. Located in Honolulu, Hawaii, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract to permanent position.
What you get to do every single day
Provide support during internal and external audits
Conduct full-cycle A/P
Perform special projects as assigned
Validate, record and send checks, including expediting special handling
Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs
Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily
Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies
Handle administrative tasks for the AP/Finance Department
Sort, register, scan, and store invoices, checks, and other documents
Prior experience in an A/P role preferred
Strong attention to detail
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgrounds
Background working with Posting Payments
General familiarity with Process Vendor Invoices
Demonstrated knowledge of Multiple Vendors
Payable Invoices experience preferred
Solid understanding of Accounts Payable (AP)
Earlier work involving Microsoft Excel
Payment Processing experience highly preferred
Refund Checks experience preferred
Practical knowledge of Reconcile Vendor Statements
Check processing experience
Commissions – insurance experience
Adeptness in commissions accounting
AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred
