Job Description : The Alaska Region Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Center is seeking an energetic, skilled and highly-experienced Training Manager to join our team. If you enjoy taking a lead in virtual and in-person trainings that will guide participants in project planning, application development, and project management this may be the job for you! In addition, you will provide support and assistance throughout the grant recipient?s project process. Experience with ANA is highly desirable.

The Alaska Region TTA Center through a contract with Administration for Native Americans (ANA) works to strengthen the capacity of Tribes and Tribal organizations in Alaska to develop, apply for, and manage community-based projects that increase the self-sufficiency and achieve ANA?s vision that ?Native Communities are Thriving.?

The Training Manager must have a high level of expertise in MS Office, Zoom, Google Drive and SharePoint; with the ability to create visually engaging PowerPoint and other training materials.
The Training Manager shall be the Contractor?s lead trainer and provide expertise and oversight of Contractor responsibilities for training and curriculum development. The Training Manager shall be responsible for training other key personnel and consultants on training activities outlined in the statement of work. The Training Manager will collaborate with ANA staff and other regional TA contractors on the revision and development of training curricula and materials. Responsible for completing training-related Task Orders and managing training consultant assignments. This is a professional position which requires performing work requiring advanced knowledge in the field of learning related to Native American community development which can only be acquired by a prolonged course of intellectual instruction. This position?s primary duties include teaching, tutoring virtually/electronically, and instructing applicants and grantees in ANA?s well-established and sponsored regional Training and Technical Assistance Centers.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver training materials and conduct trainings for project planning, pre-application, post-award, and grantee meeting to help ensure that applicants and grantees are successful with their projects.
Design and deliver staff and consultant training on all ANA T/TA materials and processes as well as staff development and cross-training.
Collaborate with regional training centers, Universities, and other organizations to leverage the use of training facilities, videoconferencing equipment and assets, to maximize the impact and reach of the T/TA Center?s training.
Manages the professional Training Consultant Pool, hires, subject to Regional Director final approval, and terminates Training Consultants as necessary and ensures that no less than 2 fully trained Training Consultants are available in the pool.
Ensures contractor compliance with HHS meeting and conference planning terms and conditions as applicable (i.e. HHS Required use of Force Majeure Articles, Terms to Prohibit Acceptance of Gifts, and addressing Special Needs).
As needed, provide electronic technical assistance for unsuccessful applicants, project planning, pre-application, and current grantees to help ensure applicants and grantees are successful with their projects.
Provide on-site technical assistance to ANA grantees as needed/requested by ANA.
Attend ANA quarterly and grantee meetings as required.
Assist ANA staff with impact evaluations as requested.
Conduct risk assessments for ANA Region III grant funded projects.
Provide regional support as necessary and assist with special projects as requested by ANA and Regional Director.
Collaborate with ANA staff and other regional TA contractors on the development and implementation of sustainability tools and marketing materials.
Participates in ANA panel reviews and develops related training materials.
Other duties as assigned.

All T/TA Center staff are required to perform contract activities with negligible risk of offending Native American people. It is necessary for staff to perform their duties and responsibilities through a set of congruent behaviors, attitudes, and policies to assure that appropriate cultural nuances are demonstrated in cross-cultural situations when providing Training and Technical Assistance.
