A new team focused on Product Marketing has spun up to help find innovative ways to drive adoption, deepen engagement, educate and further support artists and their teams to advance their careers.
Location
New York or Remote Americas
Job type
Full Time Contractor
In this role, you will work with a cross-functional team from Product, Design, Engineering, Product Insights, Comms, and Music Partnerships, as well as the rest of Marketing to bring industry-leading marketing tools, systems, and microsites to market — from concept, all the way through testing, launch, and adoption stages. From working with our internal teams to understand and build for creator needs, to working closely with Marketing to establish powerful campaigns to inspire creators and their teams to use our tools in new ways, you’ll be instrumental in creating the future of how music and the Spotify creator ecosystem is experienced by our users.

You will help set the roadmap for the Martech development team, coordinating with your counterparts across the company to align on the highest impact work the team can deliver. You’ll help the team lead intake and prioritization processes, gaining an in-depth understanding of and contributing to strategy at the Mission and company level. You’ll work with key Marketing stakeholders to set goals and milestones for projects. As this is a new team, you will have the existing opportunity to bring fresh ideas to space and help evolve the mission, vision, and direction of the team to ensure maximum impact.
What you’ll do
Partner with Product Area Lead and Agile support team members to mold a new team from the ground up by running workshops to establish and align on mission, vision, ways of working, user journey and product development roadmap.
Engage with the development team as the Product Owner to contribute to and lead aspects of our agile scrum practices (ie. participation with standup, backlog grooming, sprint planning, quarterly planning, and retrospectives).
Help to define and own team goals and OKRs with focus on Mission level impact.
Thoughtfully collaborate to brainstorm new tools, product ideas and strategies to drive growth and engagement in partnership with the wider Creator Marketing team.
Support the go-to-market strategy and ongoing release cadence for key marketing product initiatives for artists and their teams from ideation to launch and adoption.
Create and drive a holistic internal strategy around marketing tools in coordination with the rest of the Creator Product Marketing team.
Advocate on the behalf of creators, partnering with design and product insights on identifying and understanding user needs, behaviors and problems.
Coordinate across all cross-functional partners — including artist & label partnerships, licensing, legal, and support — ensuring feedback is prioritized and ultimately leads to a better product for creators.
Learn to partner with data scientists and user researchers to understand the performance of your tools, features and systems and identify new opportunities of focus for the future.
Continue to grow your Product Management skills through group instruction and individual learning.
