Job Description : PALMER MORAVIAN CHURCH DAY CARE AND NURSERY SCHOOL is a long standing and well established Daycare and Nursery School located in Palmer Township, Easton, PA. We are in search of a Child Care Director to effectively manage the day-to-day operations and sustain a positive learning environment for our amazing children. The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience in early childhood education, will exhibit strong leadership skills, a friendly demeanor, a love for children, and will strive to create a supportive and encouraging environment for both children and teachers. The Director will oversee the coordination of education programs that comply with local and federal regulations, manage and support a complement of dedicated child care staff, and report to the Board of Directors at least monthly.Responsibilities:Work together with the Board of Directors to provide a loving, safe, fun-filled, healthy environment for our children and staff to develop and growCommunicate effectively with Board of Directors, parents, staff, licensing agencies, and childrenProvide support by substituting in classroomsPerform annual teacher evaluations.Continuously seek growth and development opportunities for staffEnsure the center is exceeding all PA Regulation requirements.Inspect the center’s classrooms to ensure they are clean and sanitized, consistent with health and safety standards, including the best practices for Covid-19.Prepare parent billing for tuitionRoutine banking transactionsCompliance with local, state, and federal laws governing child careRequirements:A Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood education is preferred, however, candidates with a combination of an Associate’s degree and at least 3 years relative experience that together satisfy the state required qualification levels for a position of this level are encouraged to apply.Director experience preferred, but will train right candidateProfessional teaching experience in a child care facility with toddler through school aged childrenExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.Friendly and approachable demeanor.Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times.Must be eligible to work in the US and able to pass a background checkJob Type: Full-timePay: $46,000.00 – $52,000.00 per yearBenefits:Employee discountPaid time offSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:teaching in child care: 3 years (Preferred)Work Location: One location
