The Role
The Marketing Content Writer conducts thorough research on industry-related topics, generates ideas for new content, and proofreads articles before publication. The marketing content writer has a keen eye for detail and produces online content & quality writing pieces that appeal to our audiences, attract customers, and boost brand awareness.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Research industry-related topics (combining online sources, interviews and studies).
Craft copy for our website, blog, emails, videos, gated content, and more
Contribute to defining the content cadence and strategy for Innovapptive (what, where, how).
Conceive, write, and produce various types of content, including original articles, campaign content, as well as email and landing page copy, addressing prospects and clients of our connected workforce software.
Create content that is tailored to target audience segments and sales funnel stages.
Strategize and coordinate SEO optimization (in collaboration with our Digital Marketing team), cross-linking, and tracking calls-to-action to maximize share of conversation and lead creation, frequently analyzing and reporting on content performance
Create compelling content that drives traffic, engagement, leads, that deliver sales and increase customer retention which spans Innovapptive’s content ecosystem (website, social, webinars, events, e-book, white papers, blog).
Proofread and edit blog posts before publication.
Submit work to editors for input and approval.
Coordinate with marketing and design teams to illustrate articles.
Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic.
Promote content on social media.
Identify customers’ needs and gaps in our content and recommend new topics.
Ensure all-around consistency (style, fonts, images and tone).
Update website content as needed.
Collaborate across teams to ensure all content developed is impactful, creative, relevant (and in several cases educational) in a way that engages our target audience and becomes a component of our conversation with customers.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing, English, Journalism or equivalent on-the-job experience.
5-10 years of experience in marketing content.
Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it.
Great storytelling ability and a keen eye for detail.
Project management skills and understanding how to manage the priorities of multiple stakeholders and focus on the delivery of results in the form of engagement, leads and sales opportunities.
Ability to adjust your tone based on your audience.
Experience working with agile teams, including quick adaptation and iteration.
