We take turns greeting walk-in customers while other team members are busy answering phones and following up with other customers. After a simple greeting, the discovery process is fun as we get to know our customers, discover their needs, the scope of their projects, budgets, and then identify features that interest them. Most of our shoppers are either replacing an appliance that has failed and are looking to buy a single replacement, or they’ve decided to go ahead and update all of their older appliances at once. We then work closely with purchasing teams and manufacturers to assist with relaying the expected arrival dates for customers’ orders. When products are already in stock, we work closely next with logistics teams to coordinate deliveries and installations. In between these projects, each team member also manages their book of business made up of repeat customers who need appliances and mattresses for rental properties and their primary residencies. Managing a book of business also includes following up with customers who need quotes and have not yet purchased. This position does not involve pressuring customers to buy – customers are already excited to buy because they need new appliances they depend on. Appliance Factory also guarantees the best price, which relieves any further pressure on customers.Advancement opportunities: We proudly promote from within great leaders who understand the appliance industry to Monday through Friday corporate office positions in marketing, purchasing, and accounting.
