PRCS- Creating Community through People, Parks, and Programs
PRCS is seeking a Daycare Assistant to join our Lucketts Community Center and Bluemont Community Center locations team. If you enjoy working with children ages three to five, have the skills needed to assist the childcare supervisor in the operation of a childcare program, can foresee potential problems, and have the specialty skills needed to solve them, then this could be the position you’ve been looking for. People with a positive mindset and proactive work style are just what our customers expect.
Top priorities for this position will include:Assisting with planning, organizing, and maintaining equipment and supplies.The supervision of children’s recreational and educational activitiesClean and maintain an orderly room, provide program information as needed, demonstrate good communication skills, provide excellent customer service, and strive to exceed expectations.
-Work schedule is Monday to Friday. Hours will fall between 7:00am – 6:00pm.

Job Requirements
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a high school diplomaPerform moderate physical activity including liftingVirginia State Licensing requires six months of experience supervising children during recreational or educational activities
Hiring Range: $35,970.27- $47,660.61
Salary Commensurate with Experience

Criminal background, Child Protective Services (CPS), fingerprinting checks requiredCertification in First Aid, CPR for adult and childNegative TB test result is required before beginning work
