As a licensed adjuster you will learn to evaluate low complexity auto insurance claims to determine whether Elephant can pay for the claims and, if so, how much will be paid. Our adjusters assist our customers who have just been in an accident by guiding the customer through the claims process from the start all the way through to closely managing the customer’s vehicle repair process. These adjusters are essential to our customers’ satisfaction and must be passionate about customer service. This role offers a unique opportunity for professional development as Elephant is a growing company that encourages internal promotions and growthThis is a full time work from home position, to ensure productivity in a home environment, applicants must meet the space and technology requirements outlined below.Work at Home Requirements: A dedicated workspace that is free from background noise and distractions of any kind during business hours.A reliable high-speed broadband Internet service provider with a connection speed of at least 5 megabytes. A speed test will be required.Ability for Ethernet cable to be physically connected to carrier by the router or modem.Responsibilities: Provide superior customer serviceAssist customers with the initial processing of vehicle claimsManage and route inbound general customer claims inquiry callsHelp customers with questions regarding their claimsProvide general support to all teams in the Claims department by filing claims and following up on themWork with more experienced claims associates to learn how to handle complex claimsEnter and document new claims which are received via live calls and/or vendor paper notices of lossProcess automobile insurance claims by doing the followingCollect statements from each partyAssess automobile damagesArrange estimates for repairsAssess liability and notifies each party of liabilityArrange payments for repairsManage rental and repair process for customersInvestigate automobile insurance claims by doing the followingResearch previous claims and accidentsVerify that all statements are accurateRequest police reports and other evidence if necessaryAssist in Catastrophe situationsAble to sit at a desk and work on a computer for 8-hour workdays with breaks and lunch time providedAbility to be on the phone for 8-hour workdaysManual dexterity to type on computerRequired Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalentAbility to multi-task, organize, and work efficientlyBasic math, computer, and typing skillsDemonstrated communication skills and ability to resolve conflictsAttention to detail and analytical skillsTalent for investigation and researchPositive attitude and willingness to adaptMust be a resident of GeorgiaPreferred Qualifications: Prior work from home experienceBachelor’s degree2 – 4 years of customer service or claims experienceExperience with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, and OutlookElephant Insurance Service LLC is an equal opportunity employer.Job Type: Full-timePay: $35,000.00 per year
