Job Description : Position Title: Exercise Design Support Mid
Primary Location: Kaneohe Bay, HI
Clearance: Secret
Ability to work remotely: No
This position is contingent upon contract award
Specific Responsibilities
Analyze training unit capabilities and requirements to support the design of Training Plans, Training Events, Exercises, and finally the Execution of the HST training.Design and develop training courses or course materials, plan and conduct training program evaluations, and have knowledge and experience in the development, execution and assessment of training plans and training events from platoon to division level.Develop information and decision briefs and associated supporting documentation for Commanding Officer/General Officer level audiences.Develop objectives for identified training goals and the associated evaluation or assessment metrics.Work efficiently in a military staff environment that requires coordination both internally and externally with the TSC staff, training units, range control, base staff, and TECOM.
Experience and Education
Demonstrate significant Joint and/or MAGTF operational understanding at battalion/squadron, group/regimental, or Division/MEF Staff through experience leading and training Marine Corps units.Understanding of the roles and missions of various types of USMC forces/capabilities and USMC operations.Must possess knowledge of USMC warfighting doctrine, emerging concepts, requirements, and capabilities in executing combat operations across the ROMO, including how the USMC executes operations in support of USMC MAGTF and Joint Force operations.Must possess knowledge of other services (Air Force, Navy, and Army) combat operations doctrine to ensure thorough linkage between USMC and Joint Service Operations Doctrine.Understanding of the policies, procedures, and methods associated with the creation of USMC doctrine and the development of USMC training standards.Must be an expert in both oral and in written communications in order to effectively interact with the training unit staffs and commanders.Must be able to multi-task efficiently and work in a fast-paced environment on multiple projects and have a strong attention for detail.Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 15 years of experience in USMC, joint, and multinational operations at the tactical and operational levels of war desired.
