Job Description : JOB TITLE: Crew Member (Floor and Derrick crew member)
SUPERVISOR/MANAGER:
MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Crew Member (Floor and Derrick crew member) is responsible for monitoring and maintaining proper procedures of the daily operations of the well servicing rig. The Crew Member (assists in all duties on the rig site to include rigging up and down, picking up or laying down tubing, working the rig floor, and assisting in operating the rig when necessary.

CRITICAL TASKS / PERFORMANCE GOALS:
Assists the operator in rigging up and down, lining up the well service rig with the well.
Responsible for all elevated work associated with rigging up/down (i.e. removing horse head from pumping unit).
Responsible for all work performed for the rod basket and tubing board (transferring rods and tubing from the vertical racks to the elevator), performs servicing on the well.
Operates tubing elevators for standing tubing in derrick.
Assists in picking up or laying down tubing, manually lifting the tubing from the rack onto the work floor or vice versa.
Reports any safety hazards, accidents or maintenance issues to the rig supervisor.
Ensures that work carried out is in compliance with company policies and procedures and according to safety regulations.
Responsible to stop work if conditions are unsafe and report concerns immediately
May be required to work floors or operate the rig when needed.
Performs fall arrest system, harness, derrick, and hoisting component inspections as required
Performs fall protection and inspection of PPE
Pulls and lays down rods, tubing, casing, and other equipment as needed. At times, lifting of equipment may require the use of a forklift, winch, or assistance of other crew members
Participate in JSA and tail gate meetings as scheduled
Responsible for keeping work site, equipment, and tools clean and in good working order
Assist in the daily inspection and maintenance of equipment
Successfully perform elevator handling, hardline construction, and energy isolation procedures
Report all incidents as per company policies
Drives crew truck as needed (driver license required)
All other duties assigned
WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ABILITIES:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions (hot, cold, wet etc.) The employee could be exposed to diesel fumes or other airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; potential risk of electrical shock, vibration. The noise level in the environment is moderate to loud. Provision, wearing and maintenance of personal protective/respirator equipment (including face masks).
Regularly required to stand, sit and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. As necessary can manually lift a load with two hands, using good manual handling techniques up to a maximum of: Male 65 lbs. (29.5 Kgs), Female 45 lbs. (20.4 Kgs).
Occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear and smell. Vision requirements include: close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception; and ability to adjust focus and distinguish color. Also includes creating and presenting information in both formal or informal meetings to multiple persons, or in the field environment to field crews, or one-to-one basis.
