Job Description : Welcome Enthusiast (Front Desk Agent)WHAT YOU’LL DOA key participant in the mission to deliver service in a friendly, courteous and helpful manner; The Welcome Enthusiast, will provide guests outstanding customer service and deliver the “Simple Pleasures” needed to give all guests the “Positive Stay” promise. The Welcome Desk is the central hub of any hotel and specifically of Canopy Central – where guests will go to get information on the local neighborhood favorites, things to do and what to eat/drink. These individuals will need to be enthusiastic, welcoming, organized and a great team player. The $200 sign on bonus will be paid once the hired employee completes their first 90 days with no infractions.Here are some of the tasks you will complete on a daily basis:Perform all check-in and check-out tasksAssist with Night Audit coverage when applicableRegister guests collecting necessary information (like contact details and exact dates of their stay)Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms based on hotel availability and guest loyaltyProvide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenitiesInform customers about payment methods and verify their credit card dataRespond to guest complaints in a timely and professional mannerLiaise with our housekeeping staff to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needsConfirm group reservations and arrange personalized services for VIP customers and event attendeesUp-sell additional facilities and services, when appropriateMaintain updated records of bookings and paymentsSkills: Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar roleExperience with hotel reservations software, like ONQ, strongly preferredUnderstanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking and TripAdvisorCustomer service attitudeEmpowered to make decisions in order to meet and exceed guest needsExcellent communication and organizational skillsJob Type: Full-timePay: $16.00 per hourBenefits:401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee discountFlexible scheduleHealth insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftHolidaysWeekend availabilitySupplemental Pay:Signing bonusTipsEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Work Location: One location
