Job Description : Group Travel Advisor – Apollo – RemotePosition OverviewResponsible for the successful completion of comprehensive, accurate, cost effective group travel arrangements for Direct Travel clients within company policies utilizing corporate contracts and preferred suppliers in an efficient and professional manner.This is a fully remote position.Responsibilities*Completes domestic and international group travel arrangements for clients which may include air, hotel, ground transportation, and railSupports one or more accountsOperates within detailed proceduresInteracts with traveler or travel arranger and provides 1st level of support for customer service and technical issuesEnsures compliance of a clients’ group travel policy while utilizing DT preferred vendors to maximize profitAdheres to DT standards in delivering customer service including telephone and email etiquette, and follows prescribed customer service escalation procedure.Follows company standards regarding procedures, utilization of tools, productivity, accuracy of work, and attendanceAttends staff and training meetings for ongoing updates in travel industry and office procedures which may require you to work in the office if home basedMaintains a favorable working relationship with all other company employees to foster and promote a cooperative working environmentEngage with meetings and events team, meeting planners, and airline sales and support staff.Performs other duties as assignedBasic Qualifications*Extensive domestic and international group air experienceExperience with online booking tools (Concur and/or Get There) as well as Deem.Proficiency with international fares, routings, and required traveler documentation.Knowledge of Fly America fares and rules/regulations.3-5 years group air and Apollo experience (Smartpoint platform preferred but not required)Must demonstrate industry knowledge including block space air contracting and ticketingAbility to meet and exceed required performance standardsExcellent customer service skills requiredExcellent verbal and written communication skills requiredKnowledge of Outlook skills and basic Microsoft platformsPreferred Qualifications*Apollo, Scripts, ReportingDirect Travel is an EOE/AA/Veteran/People with Disabilities employer.About Direct TravelOur growing company relies on excellence to deliver on our commitments to our customers.
