Basic Functions: The host position is responsible for coordinating all aspects of the dining room. This includes answering phones, taking to-go food orders, controlling the seating of the dining room, and quoting proper seat times. Proper maintenance of the front entryway, waiting area and actual host stand is also critical to the host position. Providing the best first impression as possible for all guests is of the upmost importance.
