Position : Human Resources Assistant
Job Description : POSITON SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting HR Manager/Director/VP with the interpretation and implementation of all HR policies, procedures and provide administrative and clerical duties to provide excellent service on a day-to-day basis. (Maintain HR databases and files with current information. Prepares, maintains reviews and reports on HRIS systems.)
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Post open job positions, screen applicants, schedule interviews to determine best match for position.
Process verification of employment, complete background checks, credit reports, bondability, criminal history and other background checks as requested.
Assist with new hire orientation; schedule and follow thru with enrollment and payroll paperwork.
Process new hire enrollment applications with all health vendors, handle changes and terminations, assist in resolving employee benefits issues.
Set up new hires in HRIS system and variety of other programs.
Maintains a variety of spreadsheets and reports, including but not limited to Affirmative Action, Emergency Contact list, terms, new hires and exit interviews.
Work with Manager on administration of leaves of absence, performance reviews, benefits co-ordination, open enrollments.
Assists with preparing quarterly EEOC reports timely and accurately.
Maintains employee personnel, retirement, medical and confidential records in secure confidential manner.
Assist with processing semi-monthly payroll and completion of payroll functions and reports.
Assist with 90 day and annual performance review process, preparation and tracking.
Ensures name tags, stamps, business cards and shirts are ordered and distributed timely.
Filing, prepares correspondence, maintains HR databases.
Maintain high levels of confidentiality.
Keeps manager informed of work status and issues.
Other duties as assigned
