Position : Logistics Coordinator
Job Description : Dr. Schar USA, Inc. is a division of Dr. Schar AG headquartered in Burgstall, Italy with over 35 years of experience manufacturing gluten-free and innovative special nutritional foods. We are currently seeking an Logistics Coordinator to add to our growing team in Lyndhurst, NJ.Job Summary: Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and supporting all aspects of 3PL warehousing, transportation and distribution for North American business.Duties/Responsibilities: Manage 3PL warehouse relationships, including account management, price negotiation, and resolution of service challenges.Support the head of the department in vendor selection and evaluation process.Manage new vendor’s onboarding.Coordinate EDI set up.Strong experience working with controlling reports and managing cost centers.Develop transportation network to support growth within North America.Manage relationships with freight carriers negotiate pricing; arrange import/export/nationwide deliveries.Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies – FDA, USDA, customs, etc.Maintain logistics claims database and ensure claims resolution. Support internal shipping locations as needed for transportation and freight coordination back up, training and problem resolution.Manage departmental logistics targets/goals and reporting.Conduct monthly scorecard reviews with 3PL operators to identify actions for improvement.Maintain and report KPI’s for 3PL operations.Monitor and audit vendor’s billing to ensure accuracy of spend.Develop, implement and maintain standard operating procedures for area of responsibility.Establish continuous improvement practices to increase supply chain performance.Develop supply chain risks mitigation program.Determine and execute proper compliance with customers labeling//loading/ shipping requirements.Provide support for sales department by following up on customer transportation related questions or concerns.Ad-hoc analysis as required.Required Skills/Abilities: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), ERP, EDI, API and Power BI.Outstanding organizational skills in both planning and execution.Aptitude to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment with sense of urgency and accuracy.Ability to analyze performance, suggest and implement cost reduction initiatives across all supply chain functions.Job Type: Full-timePay: From $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:Day shiftMonday to FridayCOVID-19 considerations:Employee must wear a face mask when unable to social distance.Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
