The Role
Do you have an eye for detail and an appreciation for good writing? Do you enjoy working with creative people? We are seeking a fun, hard-working addition to the Marketing Department in the role of Marketing Editor. In this position you will be responsible for proofreading, editing and writing articles and ads for advertisers or internal marketing. Your work will be seen by thousands in print and online. You will help further our mission to serve our community. This position has a 100% Remote work option.

Essential Duties:
Proofread, edit and/or write and post sponsored content on tampabay.com
Proofread, edit and/or write articles for advertising sections
Proofread, edit and write ads to promote the Times or our advertisers
Research high-volume keywords, write and post short articles for tampabay.com to improve SEO.
Additional Duties:
Gather puzzles, games and other content from third party sources and prepare them for publication
Provide back up support for basic ad production services and marketing projects
Education/Experience
Minimum 3 years experience writing/editing/proofreading.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Excellent proofreading and writing skills
Ability to work proficiently in MS Office Programs such as Word and Excel with some working knowledge of Power Point and InDesign.
Solid understanding of marketing principles
Ability to build relationships with colleagues and customers
Organizational skills and attention to detail
Must be able to multi-task and hit deadlines
