Position : Medical Office Support Coordinator
Job Description : Overview: Ethos Management, Inc provides Collections, Billing, Accounts Receivable and Customer Service support to AHMC Hospitals to assist with their revenue cycle objectives.Position Summary: The Support Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Support Department with:billing records requests,locating and copying EOB’s,maintaining manual statements and payment plan log in a timely matter,performing various department support functionsensuring that all federal, state, and HIPAA regulations are met to protect patient confidentiality.This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of Ethos Management Inc. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the core values of Ethos Management. The employee is expected to support all organizational expectations including, but not limited to Correspondence, Patient’s Rights, Confidentiality of Information, and Ethos Management initiatives.Major Responsibilities/Activities: Processes requests for billing records from law offices, copy service vendors, and maintains subpoena log.Maintain and regularly updates the manual statement and payment plan log daily by notating patient’s account in EvidentReview and update the Excluded Account from Statement Log and the No Bill Switch report in Evident to ensure system generated statements are going outRun and pulled the denials from health plans on DSG portal and update patient’s account with payment denials received from the insurance companies.Assists Customer Service with returned mail by verifying patient’s mailing address through the Passport website for skip-tracing as needed.Processes requests from interdepartmental personnel by pulling EOBs/RAsMaintains the office supply order forms for the Support DepartmentPerforms a variety of clerical functions associated with patients accounts as needed.Attends department specific, management, and educational meetings as requested.Follows Ethos Management procedures for account management protocol.Abides by Ethos Management Inc.’s Code of Conduct. And HIPAA compliance.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications/Skills &Knowledge Requirements: 1 year of clerical experience in a hospital or medical office preferredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelMust be able to work independently and in a fast paced environmentHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredWork RemotelyNoJob Type: Full-timePay: $19.00 – $21.00 per hourBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayEducation:High school or equivalent (Required)Experience:clerical: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
