This is a temporary position that is expected to last 6 months.
SUMMARY:
The Multimedia Artist (MM) is responsible for the creation of static and technically enhanced artwork using Adobe Illustrator based on a description received from internal or external item writers. The MM may also create and edit animations using Adobe After Effects or Cinema 4D, capture and edit video files using Adobe After Effects and Quicktime Pro 7, and capture and edit audio files. The MM should have the ability to apply advanced revisions to artwork created by themselves or by other artists within the team. The MM must follow all quality check processes and procedures relative to technical construction and style. The MM will work within strict specifications including fonts, style (look and feel), and all other requirements contained within the project-specific style guide. The MM will be expected to work on numerous state projects at various stages during the development cycle.
This person will also perform project management activities during the workweek. These activities include project meeting attendance, status information updates, scheduling assistance, and issue resolution. The MM is required to gain a broad understanding of assessment development and publishing activities. The MM will need to access critical project-related information (schedule, process documentation, scope, communication plans, etc.) so that proper prioritization of work types and project needs can be assessed. The MM is expected to be a liaison between their project team and the multimedia services team. Strong communication, both written and verbal is essential to this position to effectively update team members on changes found during development. The MM is expected to be a reliable team member who gets along with and works well with a diverse group of artists.
This position is tasked with a wide variety of artwork types and levels of difficulty from simple graphs and basic line art to the more complex rendering of three-dimensional images, scenes, storyboards, figure rendering, animals, and scientific illustrations. The MM must have the ability to render black and white, grayscale, and full-color artwork.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in the relevant area, or equivalent education and experience required.

As required by the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Pearson provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only, the starting pay for this role is $22.50. This position is not bonus eligible.
