You will be working in a high growth, globally focused area and will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of domestic transportation for our orders from ChemTreat and vendor facilities to ChemTreat customers and for coordinating the delivery of these orders. These responsibilities will also include shipment building and scheduling, coordinating expedites, and a heavy interaction with our carrier and warehouse base. Logistics Coordinators will actively participate in and lead projects to improve service to customers in additional to implementing cost control/reduction initiatives. You’ll be part of a highly engaged team environment of dedicated Logistics authorities working to bring innovative solutions to drive processes for improvement. If you are inquisitive, motivated, customer-centric, and excited about new challenges and eager to learn, we can’t wait to hear from you!Schedule delivery of inbound/outbound bulk and oil and gas orders and communicate delivery with appropriate entitiesWork closely and connect with vendors, sales force, and other departments as needed to develop and implement vendor and delivery strategyHandle monthly & quarterly revenue guaranteesMaintain customer bulk & oil and gas delivery requirementsFollow procedures and work autonomously to coordinate transportation of chemicals.Supervise vendor performance and alert Strategic Material Managers, Production, Procurement, or Customer Service to any transportation or delivery issues.Obtain quotes for delivery of chemicals/materials and lead negotiation of agreements.Group based project management to improve process efficiency, service quality, and freight costsFlexible work hours with occasional Saturday work neededAre you qualified?Bachelor’s Degree in related field (Transportation or Operations)3-5 years of Logistics/Transportation/Distribution experience preferredPreferred experience in Chemical Transportation; APICS or CPSM certification preferredStrong understanding of supply chain management, including procurement, manufacturing, warehousing and transportation preferredJob Type: Full-timePay: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible scheduleFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceHealth savings accountLife insurancePaid time offParental leaveVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payAbility to commute/relocate:Glen Allen, VA 23060: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Logistics Operations Occupations: 1 year (Preferred)Microsoft Office: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
