Job Description : Company information: Saxon Construction LLC is a 3rd generation painting company. Here at Saxon Construction we pay attention to detail and give the utmost quality of work as well as customer service.Description of role: Saxon Construction is in need of a full-time Painter helper to join our team. You will be responsible for simple brush and roll techniques, masking interior and exterior projects, covering interior and exterior projects,and maintaining a clean and properly stocked work area. Our projects focus on interiors and exteriors which requires working safely at heights. We’re looking for enthusiastic painters who understand the industry best practices and apply them to every aspect of their work.FOREMAN Knowledge: Complete knowledge of proper painting tools and their respective useKnowledge of airless spray equipment components and maintenanceUnderstanding of all substrate terms (wainscot, soldier course, etc)Knowledge of proper use and safety with power tools (grinders, etc)Knowledge of how an airless pump works and it’s componentsKnowledge of how pressure washing equipment works and it’s componentsKnowledge of scaffolding set up, tear down, and safety requirementsKnowledge of site specific accident prevention program requirementsKnowledge of the professional “Chain of Command” in constructionKnowledge of industrial floor products and their useThorough knowledge of floor prep equipment, use, and trouble shoot abilityKnowledge of paint failure-causes, different types, and remediesKnowledge of different epoxies for wall use and floor useKnowledge of industrial painting standards (SSPC, and NACE standards)Knowledge of Safety Items:Ladder SafetyHigh work safety requirementsCompany policy and fall protectionPPE safety policy and proceduresLead worker educatedLift certifiedKnowledge and use of site specific:Lead PlanAHACHIMIWISPAINTER HELPER KnowledgeUnderstand basic tools (brush, roller, screwdriver, etc)Understand difference between Alkyd and Latex paintUnderstand importance of masking and protection of surfacesKnowledge of different masking tape and their useAble to identify hazardous waste and know how to properly disposeKnowledge of basic substrates (wood, GWB, Side Lites, etc)Knowledge of Safety Items: Ladder SafetyHigh work safety requirementsCompany policy and fall protectionPPE safety policy and proceduresOSHA 10 certificationFirst AID/CPR certificationLead worker educatedLift certifiedSkills and requirements: Divers LicenseOSHA 10/30Clean Criminal History *Consistent high quality brush and roll work (perfect every time)Ability to work with minimal supervisionAbility to cut clean lines for brush and roll workImmaculate clean up skillsBasic Prep KnowledgeBasic lift use and KnowledgeCompetent use of man lift equipment(sissor lift, JLG, Boom, Swing Stage, etc)Good rolling skills for architectural/industrial paint materialsGood finished product for painting windows, and doorsPower wash without substrate damageGood airless spray skills with latex materialsBasic skills for application of:Waterproofing’sEpoxiesFloor SystemsJob Type: Full-timePay: $25.00 – $35.00 per hourBenefits:Dental insuranceHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offVision insuranceSchedule:10 hour shift8 hour shiftMonday to FridayWeekend availabilityCOVID-19 considerations:PPE to be worn at all times (facial covering/mask, gloves), Sanitation kits are kept in all Foreman vehicles.Work Location: Multiple Locations
