Position : QC Lab Tech
Job Description : ABC Compounding is looking for a qualified QC Lab Technician to undertake a variety of laboratory procedures of technical nature. You will manage sensitive equipment to analyze samples or substances and conduct tests reporting findings to the manager. You are responsible for day-to-day activities of quality control lab. Job DutiesPerform quality control tests on products in lab as required.Demonstrate the ability to make routine decisions involving quality issues.Ensure proper recordkeeping of results.Ensure that chemicals are appropriately stored and labeled.Responsible for the general housekeeping of the lab.Make samples in laboratory as directed by R&D chemists.Pull raw material samples as directed by R&D chemists.Wet chemistry analysis.GC and HPLC analysis, methods development, and basic GC/HPLC troubleshooting/maintenance.Assist with regulatory functions such as EPA sub-registrations and FDA product listing.Assist with environmental requirements such as Storm Water Reporting, Tier II, etc.Ensure that all safety guidelines are followed strictly at all times and maintain a clean and orderly environment.Qualifications5-10 years of Quality Control experience.Proven experience as Lab Technician or relevant positionExperience in the chemicals industry is a plus.BS in Chemistry or related fieldInitiative-taking with a strong results orientation based on solid analytical thinking and judgment.Critical thinking skills.Employee should have mindfulness, a sense of urgency, accountability, business ethics, professionalism, and self-motivation.Must possess good written and spoken communication skills.ABC Compounding is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action EmployerAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, protected veteran status, disability, age, genetic information, or any other factors prohibited by law.DisclaimerThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
