Job Description : Plastics Suppliers, Inc. is a Columbus based global leader in providing innovative plastic film solutions. We are the world’s leader in the manufacturing and distribution of compostable, EarthFirst, bio-based polyester films to wide range of growing markets.The Quality Manager is responsible for leading the Quality department employees and the maintenance and enhancement of Food Safety and Quality Management systems.Essential Duties:Ensure food safety and quality assurance:· Serve as the SQF Practitioner and ISO Lead Auditor· Provide leadership and guidance to assure programs, policies, and practices are implemented and effective to produce film solutions that meet regulatory, ISO, SQF, and company requirements.· Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the Quality Management System, including leading semi-annual Management reviews· Ensure that all employees are properly trained and audited for compliance against PSI’s Food Safety and Quality Principles.Manage all relevant plans and policies associated with the Food Safety and Quality Management System including, but not limited to:· HACCP· Pest Control· GMPs for Visitors· Cleaning & Sanitation· Spec Management & Customer Requirements· Document Control & Records· Inspect, Test, & Release· Control of Inspection, Measurement, and Test Equipment· Customer Complaints and Corrective Actions· Product Identification & Traceability· Regulatory Compliance & Awareness· Change Management· Verification/Validation· Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOPs)· Training matrix and recordsManage lab operations and SQF-related operations:· Monitor behaviors, and ensure safe work practices· Manage staffing and schedulesManage quality performance and improvement efforts:· Lead formal Management Review meetings held at least semi-annually· Monitor performance against goalsLead and develop direct reports:· Clarify and communicate individual and group expectations· Coach and teach at every opportunity, providing the tools required for each person to succeedCritical Competencies and Attributes· Strong knowledge of GFSI programs (SQF, ISO 22000)· Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards· Customer Focus·Job Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offRetirement planVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridaySupplemental Pay:Bonus payEducation:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Quality Management: 3 years (Preferred)SQF: 3 years (Preferred)License/Certification:SQF Practitioner Certification preferred (Preferred)Work Location: One location
