Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
3 years of experience in data analysis, working with databases, and querying (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MapReduce, Hadoop)
Experience in information security and/or working with cyber threats
Preferred qualifications:

Experience generating actionable threat intelligence reports and communications
Experience working with remediation teams
Experience relaying communications between technical and non-technical teams
Ability to run and update scripts in the course of their daily activities
About the job
Google’s Threat Analysis Group (TAG) tracks threat actors involved in disinformation campaigns, government backed hacking, and financially motivated abuse. The team produces intelligence for Google’s product and security teams and Google Management, while maintaining our own threat intel platform, malware analysis tooling, and support.
On this team, you will work with Detection and Response and Trust and Safety teams to provide intelligence that drives detection of Google adversaries and disinformation on our platforms. You will produce and disseminate TAG’s Intel across multiple cross-functional teams.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $117,000 – $126,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.
Responsibilities
Produce actionable intel reports based on TAG’s analysis for Google defenders, as well as collecting and synthesizing data from a variety of sources.
Coordinate incoming requests from Google Cloud, Trust and Safety, and other Product Areas and scoping deliverables.
Coordinate and write blog posts.
Conduct research on industry trends including geopolitical implications of TAG research.
Manage third-party intel flow into TAG systems and assist analysis missions in synthesizing that information with our own collection and maintain a feedback loop.
