Research Assistant – Department of Medicine
Step into this exciting role and join a supportive team to help us coordinate and manage investigative patient studies and clinical research activities for the Department of Medicine. The Research Assistant supports departmental research in the facilitation of clinical trials, including interviewing patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, gathering clinical data and patient information, including medical history. In this role, you will interact with patients and family members to help them gain a better understanding and alleviate their apprehension within the clinical studies.
As the Research Assistant, you will also be responsible to ensure all financial criteria is met for all studies and operate and maintain research forms, with a particular emphasis on regulatory documentation and management. Take on this challenging role, obtain crucial clinical data from patients and make tomorrow better for countless individuals.
This is a full-time, day shift position located at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
Preferred Criteria
Master’s Degree preferred
Clinical Research in Medicine is preferred
Experience with Institutional Review Boards
Experience with spreadsheet and database management (Microsoft Excel, Redcaps)
Required Criteria
Bachelor’s Degree in related field required
Clinical research experience
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Exceptional customer services skills and attention to detail
