Job Description : Our Connectivity team seeks to connect billions more people to the internet by developing and deploying solutions for those who are not connected at all, or cannot affordably connect, to the internet.The Sourcing Manager will act as the primary sourcing contact for product and services within the Meta supply base, while developing new sources of supply as required. Sourced technologies and services will involve a range of communications systems, such as radio equipment, base station hardware, and consumer electronics.Working closely with the partner ecosystem, engineering and related teams, the Sourcing Manager will lead the commercial engagement with OEMs, contract manufacturers, system integrators and others for product development, prototype and pilot (field trials), deployment and production support.The role requires an understanding of the development of commodity and supply chain strategies, logistics, and Intellectual Property and licensing. This Sourcing Manager will enable Meta to meet time-to-development/time-to-production goals, while managing total cost of ownership to a minimum, allowing for widespread adoption of connectivity solutions.

Sourcing Manager, Connectivity (University Grad) Responsibilities:

Partnering with stakeholders to understand connectivity objectives and supplier requirements.
Identifying product and service supply base and developing a sourcing strategy.
Contract Strategy and Execution: In partnership with Meta Legal, Contracts Management, and business partners, drive contract closure, including developing a negotiation approach, fallback positions, and acceptable terms, and prepare legally binding and enforceable documents.
RFx Services: Partner internally to develop clear third-party requirements to solve specific business and engineering needs, then own and drive to closure the supplier interface for all RFI, RFP and RFQ services.
Analyzing spend and cost modeling: Proactively tracks industry, actual unit and service cost data that feeds into total cost of ownership (TCO) and RFx, and continual improvement of supplier productivity.
Competitive Benchmarking: Partner internally to identify supplier evaluation criteria and provide recommendations, and identify key benchmark suppliers through industry-standard means.
Preferred Supplier Management: Identify, qualify and formalize which suppliers are Meta preferred suppliers, and guide sourcing decisions and engagement to them.
Productivity Management: Measure, report and action supplier and internal administrative productivity, and identify and drive supply chain automation opportunities.
Supplier Performance Management: Proactively tracks and analyzes criteria and ensures supplier contractual adherence, research root cause of issues, and own/drive improved performance.
Supply Chain Model: Ensures strategic opportunities in the supply chain (physical, financial and information flows) in the areas of design, source, make and deliver have been implemented to support released products.

Minimum Qualifications:

Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining, a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management or related field.
Knowledge of contract negotiations and drafting.
Understanding of internal stakeholder management, supplier performance management, or related.
Experience with communication and being analytical and results-focused.
Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in the Telecom industry or similar.
Knowledge of research and development programs.
Experience with identifying and driving productivity projects.
