This position will report and work closely with the Shipping and Logistics ManagerGeneral responsibilities: Shipping and Logistics – Ensure customer fulfillment and logistical tasks are completed daily at the highest levelInventory – Highly familiar with inventory management practices and KPIsTeam Development – High emphasis on team management, employee development, productivity and engagementContinuous Improvement and Optimization – Researching and implementing new directives and continuous improvement ideas and processes for business growth and sustainability.Supervisory responsibilities: Supervise team members to ensure that processes are being followed and support the team with the resolution of problems related with vendors and customers, and internal personnel.Handle training for new hire and ongoing training for the Operations team.Assist the Operations Manager in running needed reports, scheduling meetings and any other duty that the Operations Manager deems necessary.Work with Vendors to maintain and improve scorecards to drive logistical improvements on a weekly/monthly basis.Capture all costs associated with a shipment. Actively look and capture savings and value- added opportunities when possible.Coordinates pricing, shipping & receiving with freight companies.Works with customer and/or freight company on any logistics service issues.Assess priorities based on time sensitivity and available resources.Distribute workflow within the operations team according to the operations manager direction.Monitor quantity and quality of jobs being performed throughout the day, providing guidance and advice as necessary.Continually monitor and improve / adjust processes in order to be more effective and efficient in achieving team goals and organizational initiatives. Participate and contribute to Team meetings.Research sales inquiries and problems for any shipments.Effectively communicate with customers, customer service, sales, managers and other internal personnel on any issues with fulfillments, inbound/outbound freight.Participate in total quality management and process improvement within logistics department.Utilize web-based technology to gather and track operational data, including but not limited to, shipping costs, drop ship performance, zone analysis.With approval from the Operations and Warehouse manager, prioritizes incoming and outbound orders to set workflow and meet customer needs.QualificationsDetailed knowledge of Shipping/Operations and logistics and its associated requirements2-3 years previous experience in Distribution/Operations and Logistics2-3 years supervisory experienceProject managementExcellent customer serviceStrong organizational and time management skills.Requires keen analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to Multi-taskKnowledge of ERP systems, transportation systems and understanding of manufacturing capabilities.Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processesExceptional communication and interpersonal skillsKeen on working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentBenefits: This full-time role offers a competitive compensation package, ten (10) + days of personal time off, ten (10) paid Company holidays, and eligibility for medical, dental, and/or vision coverage; which also includes access to a healthcare concierge service and free virtual visits.Commitment to Diversity and Equal Employment Opportunity: Ledge Lounger is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to creating a work environment where all employees can find their drive.
