Pay Range: Starting Pay $17.70 + 9.75% COLA)
Job Summary: The incumbent is responsible for managing daily warehouse operations to include the accuracy and accountability of the Furniture Fixtures and Equipment FFE inventory for a lodging program.
Duties and Responsibilities: The incumbent is responsible for operating professional warehousing and storage facilities directing the operations of the warehouse maintaining accurate stock levels and inventory adjustments and receiptrecord control for all equipment and supplies. Manages the accuracy of the Furniture Fixtures and Equipment FFE inventory for NGIS. Establishes and revises warehouse stock replenishment of recurring and nonrecurring authorized NAF and APF inventory for the NGIS lodging operation. Recognizes requirements establishes and adjusts replenishment levels to keep stock position current. Selects applicable procedures and formulas in establishing levels for non recurring items items not stocked previously and locally procured items. Receives deliveries and reviews receiving inspection reports. Identifies discrepancies related to quantities substitutes incomplete shipments or noncompliance with purchase order requirements. Determines acceptancenonacceptance of shipments not meeting requirements. Conducts investigation of inventory discrepancies and researches source data tracking transactions through previous actions to resolve errors and adjusts book inventory accordingly. Performs internal management control vulnerability studies and reviews to develop controls to prevent losses and implement cost saving measures. Processes planned inventory requirements and manages all cyclical inventory processes. Prepares reports for higher authority and analyzes evaluates and implements instructions and notices from higher authority. Processes declared excess and damaged property for disposal. Coordinates the use of forklifts trucks and personnel for proper disposal of government property according to established policies. Upon completion of disposals is responsible for accurately documenting the loss to computer files and maintaining files for Audit Trails. Maintains accountability for all assigned FFE. Ensures all changes replacements or transfers of FFE are completed properly. Processes documentation for all FFE and ensures all information is entered into the required database electronically. Schedules and oversees the performance of all regularly scheduled and unscheduled FFE inventories monthly and annually. Ensures all discrepancies are investigated notated and corrected. Supervises one or more warehouse staff inventory supply clerks andor laborers approves leave conducts counseling and evaluations and recommends personnel actions to supervisor. imh 1921 Ensures subordinates are fully aware of and comply with appropriate personnel safety and environmental laws and regulations. Performs other related duties as assigned
Eighteen months experience performing warehousing related duties such as receiving storing issuing shipping maintaining stock control records etc. or similar work that provided the knowledge and skills to perform the duties of the position.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR EXPERIENCE: One year of high school education may be substituted for 3 months of general experience up to a High School Diploma or GED for one year of general experience.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Performs work on hard surfaces and in work areas that require standing stooping bending and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. May lift and carry supplies and material up to 100 pounds with assistance heavier material will be transported by forklift equipment. May be required to climb ladder to pull stock shelves and bins. Uses sharp instrument to break open boxes.
