Job Description : General Summary: We are looking for an individual that has the right blend of Outside Processing purchasing experience in a CNC shop. This high profile position has responsibility for sourcing and securing all shop supplies, miscellaneous expense items, and other parts & services required to support production in a timely and cost-effective manner. Essential Job Functions: Supplier Selection & Contractingo Research alternative and/or new resources for MRO product and services.o Qualify new suppliers to internal standards and end-customer requirements.o Effectively negotiate price, schedule, quality and T&Cs.Supplier Managemento Monitor and track supplier performance including delivery and quality.o Ensure regular and consistent communication with suppliers.o Manage and resolve technical and quality issues.o Makes cost effective purchases by consolidating bidding, volume discounts and blanket orders as appropriate.o Cost and lead-time standards are accurate.Project Management of New or Transferred Worko Utilize project management tools to manage details of transition of work to supply base.o Communicate effectively with all affected internal departments to ensure smooth transition.o Closely monitor supplier through first article.o Track and report progress.General o Effectively communicate with all affected internal department personnel status and issues which may affect any element of PMW operations and/or ability to meet customer requirements.Qualifications: Education and Experience -Ideal candidate will have a basic knowledge of metal machining processes, surface processing and heat-treat and technology.At least 5 years professional experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in an aerospace machine shop environment.Bachelors Degree (any discipline) is preferredDemonstrated ability to negotiate contracts and maintain vendor relations.Must be able to effectively develop, track and manage complex projects.Strong detail and organizational abilities.Working knowledge and experience with ERP/MRP systems.Must be familiar with computer programs, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook. $63K-$72K Annually -Job Type: Full-time
