This entry level Agile Product Manager responsible for serving as a product owner of a SCRUM team acting as a business representative for a project or set of projects within a market-focus. This position will support other Product staff. Entry level Project Management candidates with an interest in focusing on working on IT projects to mature their AGILE knowledge are encouraged to also apply. This is a work from home position anywhere in the United States.
How you will make an impact:
Attend daily SCRUM stand-ups, bi-weekly refinement sessions
Assist Product staff in writing and/or distributing status updates related to assigned SCRUM team work.
Supports providing business stakeholders overview of deployment milestones and release status updates.
Collaborates with Product staff to maintain regularly the business Product roadmap and backlog of work in support of the roadmap.
Works with the business team to understand, rank and prioritize business needs and plan solutions to ensure that each release aligns to the agreed business roadmap.
Documents and matures knowledge library of departments procedures regarding: interfacing with Engineering, planning increments, backlog of business work, and maintains a library of historical release & deployment milestones related to assigned business area.
Serve as the (business) proxy and collaboration point to moderate discussion between Business and SCRUM Team.
Marking story and feature acceptance criteria ready for SCRUM team to begin work. Applying Release Ready and Product Owner approvals in response to SCRUM demo. In demo developers presents test case outcome proof that intent was met and testing was successful.
Effectively communicates to SCRUM team the stakeholder needs so the SCRUM teams developers are accountable to delivering solutions.
Collaborate with team(s) to discover and deliver the best solution for objectives presented by the business.
Understands how to write user stories and their acceptance criteria.
Documents key milestones to delivery, risks, and assumptions.
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS degree and minimum of 1 year experience with writing business/functional requirements and experience implementing Agile methodologies; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:
Finance/Engineering background is a plus
Project Management background is a plus
