Position : Associate Project Manager (Remote)

Job Description : Position Purpose:
The Associate Project Manager is responsible for supporting teams by executing project management activities with minimal supervision. Associate Project Managers typically support low complexity projects in a non-vendor facing capacity. Associate Project Managers create and maintain project plans, develop and communicate status reports, manage issues and risks, and control project scope. In addition, they monitor and adjust to given budgets and complete associated internal cost-benefit analysis efforts.
Responsible for tracking labor spend
Performs follow-ups on discrepancies between forecasted spend and actuals
Creates and Distributes reporting related to project delivery, financials, staffing, and planning as needed
Manages small projects with direction and guidance from an experienced Project Manager
Major Tasks, Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities:
50% – Delivery & Support:
Executes project scoping and scope management planning; manages scope appropriately
Documents, reviews and ensures that all quality and change control standards are met
Executes and documents cost benefit analysis and justification findings
Develops and communicates project plan, dependencies, and status updates highlighting any potential issues, including schedule, resource, cost, and risks; manages to project plan effectively
Applies lessons learned to subsequent projects
Executes change approval process and implementation of approved changes
Completes toll gate artifacts (Charter, Business Acceptance Document, etc.)

10% – Monitoring:
Identifies, defines, and takes action to mitigate project risks in a timely and effective manner
Monitors, tracks, and adjusts project plans based on critical milestones
Monitors budget; makes necessary adjustments to remain on budget, escalating as necessary
Monitors project activities to predict, mitigate, and remediate misalignments with The Home Depot’s compliance regulations

40% – Administration & Operations:
Updates The Home Depot systems (including financial systems and project closeout)
Creates, documents, and uploads lessons learned
Executes other Project Management duties as needed
Monitors outstanding invoices and collects funds as necessary, escalating as needed
Publishes and tracks creation of related artifacts

Nature and Scope:
Typically reports to the Technology Coordination Manager or Sr. Manager.

For Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada and New York City residents: The pay range for this position is between 60k and 130k. Starting salary may vary based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, the position being offered, location, education, training, and/or experience. The Home Depot offers additional competitive financial and non-financial benefits, which may include a performance-based bonus program or a profit sharing program depending on position.

Environment:
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Travel:
Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
Standard Minimum Qualifications:
Must be eighteen years of age or older.

Physical Requirements:
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Preferred Qualifications:
Highly proficient with Excel – pivots, vlookups, visualization
Ability to analyze data to understand trends, identify anomalies, and provide insights
Experience with project management tools such as smartsheets, MS Project, etc.
Experience with labor management or financials management in a corporate environment
