Job Description : Job Summary:

SURETY
This position is designated as a chemical duty position and is subject to the requirements of the Chemical Personnel Reliability Program. As a condition of employment, candidates and incumbents must favorably complete a personnel security investigation, urinalysis testing, medical exam and respiratory screening, and must meet and maintain personnel suitability and reliability requirements established by Army Regulation 50-6.
Require routine access to chemical surety materials.
Are authorized to escort visitors to areas containing chemical surety materials.
Are operators of equipment that disassembles chemical munitions/containers or handle chemical surety materials during demilitarization operations

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES / TASKS
Perform all work safely and with the utmost concern for the safety of self and other employees.
Perform all work in compliance with environmental permits and regulations.
Be at work when scheduled and maintain a good attendance record.
Responsible for monitoring computer controlled process equipment associated with demilitarization of chemical weapons, including: Projectile/Mortar Disassembly Machine (PMD), Munitions Washout Station (MWS), Metal Treatment Unit (MTU), and Off-gas Treatment System (OTS) or agent neutralization batch process equipment and process support equipment (i.e., air compressors, chillers, HVAC systems).
Initiate and control process functions to operate demilitarization systems IAW all SOPs and environmental regulations, and will monitor toxic area entries related to their respective plant equipment.
Must comply with Conduct of Operations (CONOPS).
Ability to correctly follow assigned procedures and processes.
Monitor computer controlled process equipment associated with demilitarization of chemical weapons, including robotic disassembly equipment, process support equipment (i.e., air compressors/chillers, HVAC systems and pollution abatement equipment).
Respond to system operating parameter deviations from the desired band and alarms, and assume semi-automatic or manual control, as situation requires.
Responsible for directing operators as required to maintain control of all systems under their control.
Monitor, control and support all activities of personnel working in contaminated and exclusion areas.
Operate and control CCTV system throughout the plant.
Control and mitigate events under the direction of Plant Shift Manager during plant contingencies, which involves PA announcements, personnel notifications, CCTV monitoring, radio communications and plant systems monitoring.
Monitor systems under control for desirable trends and report same to Control Room Superintendent.
Responsible for maintaining accurate log books, data sheets and other historical systems under control.
Responsible for security key control and issuance of all plant surety/security keys.
Assist in analysis and development of solutions to operating system problems, alarms, and unusual occurrences.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assign, supervise and direct work activities of assigned personnel.
Responsible for training and development of assigned personnel.
Review work of assigned personnel for compliance with policies and procedures, effectiveness of coordination, technical adequacy, safety, surety, and attainment of objectives.

Compensation & Benefits
STARTING RATE: $31.83 (This position is part of a certification pay program, which provides additional pay increases as necessary training and certifications are completed. On average, a minimum of two pay increases would be obtained within the first six months of employment.)

This position includes participation in the PCAPP Employee Retention Incentive Benefit Plan, which provides a financial incentive encouraging personnel to remain employed by Amentum at the PCAPP project through a specified timeframe provided qualifiers are met.
Minimum Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma/equivalent and 2 years industrial plant operations or control room operations experience in power or chemical plants, hazardous waste incinerators, waste water treatment facilities, petrochemical plants, military or related industry operating boilers or utility systems (i.e., compressed air, electrical distribution, hydraulics, HVAC, bulk chemical storage and distribution, etc.) or Primary Certified Chemical Demilitarization Plant Operator.
Must be a US Citizen or naturalized citizen able to obtain and maintain PCAPP site access.
Must be computer literate in common software applications and able to operate general office equipment.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must be willing to work overtime, varying hours and/or rotating shifts.
Must be willing and able to work in an industrial environment that is in close proximity to and/or in a chemical demilitarization facility.
Minimum Qualifications:
Industrial equipment troubleshooting skills (e.g., pumps, compressors, HVAC, conveyors).
Ability to speak publicly and communicate clearly during normal and crisis situations.
Ability to maintain composure and make decisions during upset plant conditions.
Demonstrated experience working in a procedurally compliant environment.
Demonstrated experience working in an environmental and safety compliant environment.
Organizational skills and ability to perform detail-orientated work.
Demonstrated willingness to be a team player.
Takes initiatives to meet or exceed performance expectations.

Experience in computerized Control Room operations.
Experience with spreadsheet and word processing programs.
Experience with collecting and analyzing trending information to evaluate equipment performance and forecast.
Experience working in toxic/hazardous environment to include confined spaces.
Fully certified PCAPP Plant Operator.
LOTO experience.
Understand and communicate Conduct of Operations concepts.
Understand and communicate control loop theory.
Understand and communicate analog and digital control.
Some leadership or supervisor experience.
Individual has previously cleared through the required Pre-Employment process for this position
