Job Description : We are looking for a Data Center Technician in the Tampa area to help at our data center when needed. This is a perfect way to get extra hours to augment your income!To start, we need someone with flexible weekday hours who has the capability to go on site at our Data Center in Tampa, FL.Sample of Responsibilities needed to perform this job:Receive and unpack hardware, servers and other equipmentInventory management – checking and labelingProfessional assembly and mounting in racksComplete diagnostic and quality assurance inspectionsPower and network cables provisioning and installationIntra-cabinet cabling as requiredSystem imagingExperience needed:2 or more years’ experience working in a Data Center EnvironmentMust be able to perform rack and stack activitiesBasic knowledge of Cisco switches and routersBasic knowledge of local and wide-area networkingKnowledge of infrastructure systems and equipmentMust be able to assist in troubleshooting issuesStrong knowledge of Windows and LinuxMust be able/willing to lift 50+ poundsMust understand cable patching processes and procedures*Experienced candidates with recent data center exposure are encouraged to apply!*The successful candidate will be able to work on site in Tampa, FL.*This is a 1099 consulting role.
