Job Description : Imagine! is a nonprofit with a goal of helping people aspire to, and achieve, a fulfilling life of new possibilities by providing support services to individuals with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities (IDD). We are located in the Denver / Boulder metro area and support Boulder and Broomfield counties.

Purpose of Position – Responsible for the overall leadership, direction, service, support, and financial operation of Imagine! Community & Employment services and the Family Recruited Employee Program. Ensures quality of services, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Imagine! mission, goals, and values. Focus activities on the Imagine! Strategic Plan, as well as drive the Strategic Plan by contributing new goals for Imagine!.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Implements long and short-range strategic corporate objectives, operating business plans, and policies for Imagine!.
Represents the corporate interests of Imagine! in actions, communications, and decisions.
Enhances Imagine!’s position as an innovator/thought leader/change agent in the field of human services.
Acts in a leadership role for Imagine! in the implementation of corporate initiatives/strategic planning/innovation management.
Engages in corporate risk management including legal liabilities for all of Imagine!’s interests.
Oversight of Department budgets, staff performance, accountabilities, objectives, priorities and development goals, annual evaluations and salary adjustments.
Identifies significant issues affecting individuals in services, families, and Imagine!. Ensures that analyses, plans and strategies are developed to address such issues.
Advises the CEO on current and anticipated matters which may affect Programs and the Corporation.
Operates and manages in accordance with all applicable Federal, State, County and Municipal statutes, regulations, rules and policies.
Ensures that the Programs follow all established procedures.
Provides leadership to differentiate Imagine! services by implementing the demonstration and ongoing use of emerging technologies that benefit operations and individuals’ quality of life.
Provides leadership to differentiate Imagine! services by creating a culture of learning for all stakeholders.
Provides leadership in organizational change and development, program evaluation and performance, and redesign.
The Executive Director may assign other duties/responsibilities as necessary

Knowledge, Skill, and Ability:

Knowledge of general budgeting principles.
Demonstrated supervisory skills.
Effective written and verbal communication skills with individuals and groups at all professional levels.
Effective and creative negotiator and problem solver.
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks/goals for self and others.
Ability to work effectively with contemporary technology including various software, cloud computing, social media, and virtual workplaces.
Possession of a valid drivers’ license and ability to meet Imagine! driving requirements.

Training/Education:

Bachelor degree required
Masters’ degree highly preferred.

Experience:

Experience managing complex projects highly preferred.
Minimum of five (5) years’ related experience which includes supervision of professional staff, preparing budgets and reports, evaluating services, and annual planning activities.

Working Environment/Physical Activities

Work is typically performed in an office setting using a computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
Occasional travel throughout the Colorado Front Range area required.
