Job Description : Elementary Counseling Aide
A position has been declared open at the District Office for an Elementary Counselor Aide. This position is for 4 hours per day, 9 months per year. Applicants may apply on wsd.tedk12.com/hire. Files will be reviewed before interviews are scheduled.
THIS POSITION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FILLED AFTER A MINIMUM OF 3 WORKING DAYS
The job of a Counseling Aide was established for the purpose of assisting their assigned School Counselor.
Essential Functions
Teaches Collaborative Classroom Instruction (Social Emotional Lessons) to students, generally in grades k-3.
Assists the School Counselor with duties such as group counseling, lesson preparation and data collection.
Supports the School Counselor by preforming duties as assigned.
Attendance is an essential function of this job opportunity.
Other Functions
Assists other school personnel as required for the purpose of supporting the School Counseling Program.
Job Requirements: Minimum Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
Must be able to operate standard office and computer equipment.
Must have knowledge of concepts of stages of child development
Must be able to communicate with diverse groups; maintaining confidentiality; and working with constant interruptions
Experience: Job related experience is desired.
Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
