Job Description : A family is looking for an Executive Housekeeper/ Personal Assistant. The family consists of a couple in their 50’s, their two children in their 20’s who both live in Manhattan, and two dogs. This person should have at least 4 years of experience maintaining a “formal” home and very busy lifestyle. This family owns a home in Atlanta, Bridgehampton, and a condominium in Palm Beach. This family spends their summers in the Hamptons, and the rest of the season between Atlanta and Palm Beach. They are looking for someone who is accountable, trustworthy, organized, and a team player.They would like someone who can demonstrate a range of skills that include, but would not be limited to the following:Maintain presentably and cleanliness of the residence to a high standard. There is already an employee on premises who comes 2- 3 times a week to do heavy cleaning and formal laundry. This could include light cleaning, light laundry ironing, and steamingFamiliarity with general household appliances and cleaning products- able and willing to adapt to routines specific to the homeHousehold organization of all closets, cabinets, drawers and storage areasAssistance with running errands, including personal shopping for Employers and purchasing for household supplies and items, checking the PO Box,.Work with the Property Manager (in the Hamptons) to coordinate routine maintenance and small projects on the property. On other properties, this could include creating and following preventative as well as routine maintenance and overseeing projects. This will include contacting home vendors as needed.Personal Assistant Duties could include:Generating and maintaining an inventory of all household supplies, staple items, wine and liquor inventoryAble to maintain ongoing records of deliveries, incoming and outgoing packages, dry cleaning, Fed Ex,…, receive and sort all packages and mailAssistance with booking itinerary for hotels and flights (both private and commercial)Assist family research particular requestsDuties including guests and entertaining:Greet guests and responsible for maintaining bedrooms and bathrooms when guests arrive at the home, putting out towels, flowers, …Occasional meal preparation when Chef is unavailableHelp with planning of family parties, set and clean tables for hosted parties and small gatherings including flower arranging for tables and the homeProvide daily food service, kitchen support, and service for hosted parties and small gatheringsMust have basic bartending skills… ex… opening and pouring wine, making cocktailsAssist with care of dogsAssist with watering of the plants and other plant careJob Requirements:Pass Background checkMinimum of two references requiredLight travelMust be able to work prolonged periods standing, walking, bending, and liftingGood communication skills and outgoing personalityStrong attention to detailMaintain high standards in the house in order to elevate the family’s daily experienceMust be pet friendly as the family owns 2 dogsWeekly Schedule- 5 days a week. The days themselves could change depending on entertaining and travel. Start times could change depending on the family’s plans and schedule.Accommodations- Private bedroom and bathroom in the family’s Cabana.
