Description:-This position is located at Joint Base Pearl Harbor, Hickam, Hawaii.
Will perform time critical low observable (LO) maintenance to include coatings removal and restoration, Panel removal and installation, Structural repairs on metallic and composite components, TCTO’s, Modifications, Ground handling of aircraft and other duties as assigned. Work daily with engineering drawings, technical manuals, structural repair manuals, and engineers as needed to perform assigned tasks
Will obtain/deliver any required/directed On-The-Job training as needed
Must be able to work a flexible shift schedule
Work in a safe and efficient manner while maintaining a clean, FOD-free work area.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive movements, work overhead, use hands to grasp, handle, and/or feel, reach with hands and arms.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, squat, crawl, and twist.
Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Must acquire an Interim Secret clearance prior to start
Basic Qualifications:
Must possess 2 years of F-22 or F-35 Fighter Aircraft experience
Must have been previously awarded an Air Force 5 to 9 skill level or equivalent USMC or US Navy CDI/CDQAR qualification or possess equivalent civilian experience with associated credential
Desired Skills:
Low Observable Coatings application experience
Experience with applying spray coatings to aircraft
-Fabricate detail parts such as shims, splices, brackets, doublers, stiffeners, and patches – Use shop aids to facilitate assembly and installation as required.
Bonding of aircraft parts, assemblies and materials
Experience and knowledge of Integrated Maintenance Information System (IMIS)
Working Knowledge of such programs as Hazardous Waste Management, Safety, Training, FOD, Security, Supply Chain Management, and Time Accounting
