Job Description : FULL CHARGE BOOKKEEPER / ACCOUNTING MANAGERLos Angeles I RemoteRole: As an Accounting Manager for Total Accounting and Bookkeeping Solutions (“TAABS”), you are the key relationship manager maintaining and building client relationships while serving as their trusted advisor. You are instrumental in helping clients understand their financial numbers to drive strategic business decisions. The Accounting Manager mentors a talented team of Accounting Technicians and oversees the monthly financial close process and other ad-hoc projects. You make a critical impact on your client’s financial success working with dynamic and growing businesses in the apparel, consumer goods, entertainment, professional services and real estate industries.Job Responsibilities: This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced managerial accountant who is seeking to have a bigger impact on small and mid-sized businesses and serves as a subject matter expert to their clients. They are passionate in seeing their clients succeed while enjoying a flexible work environment with strong mentorship, training and support.Additional responsibilities include:Lead a team of Accounting Technicians to provide monthly, quarterly and year-end financial close and reporting to our small and mid-sized business clientsUse GAAP principles to monitor compliance, accounting policies and proceduresWork with our cross functional team in cleanup projects, implementation and accounting process developmentBe a subject matter expert, developing reporting solutions including KPIs, budgets and forecastsServe as a partner with sales leadership to identify areas of growth within the current portfolioCoach and support junior accounting staffLeverage your position as a trusted advisor to the client to identify and utilize technologies to improve internal and clients’ accounting processesRequirements: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting3 – 5 years of accounting experienceImpeccable verbal and written communication skillsProactive with strong project management and execution experienceThrives on solving problems and has a growth mindsetMust be team orientated and enjoys helping teammates growEnthusiastic in learning new technologyExtensive QuickBooks experience, including 3rd party apps (Shopify, A2X, etc.)Proficient with Microsoft Office software, especially ExcelPreferred Qualifications: Public accounting or consulting experience is a plusExperience supporting small and medium sized companies or in-house accounting experienceWorking experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, etc.)Financial analytics and modeling experienceThe ideal candidate is located in the Los Angeles area, remote opportunities may be available in TX, NVWhy TAABS: TAABS is a growing business with unlimited growth opportunity and exposure to dynamic and interesting clients.At TAABs we value hard work, strong teaming and problem solving skills with a knack for being resourceful.
