Job Description : The Senior Human Resources Manager is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Director of Human Resources. This position carries out responsibilities related to the following functional areas: HR compliance, salary administration, performance evaluation, human resources policy implementation, and employee handbook updates and revisions.Duties and Responsibilities: Works with HR Director in ensuring that all HR operations are compliant with applicable state and federal laws/regulationsEnsures compliance with applicable government regulations related to the company’s 401k plan and works with Human Resources Administrator to ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reportingMaintains the organization’s compensation structure by maintaining and/or updating salary grades and ranges for all positions on an annual basisWorks with the Director of Human Resources to ensure a pay structure that is internally equitable and externally competitive by conducting periodic salary surveysWorks with Human Resources Representative and department managers to conduct job description evaluations for new positions for the purpose of assigning salary grades and recommending, planning, and implementing pay grade/structure revisionsMonitors the performance evaluation program and revises as necessary; coaches supervisors and managers on the use of the program to include sending reminders through the HRIS system to ensure that managers complete reviews in a timely mannerParticipates in developing department goals, objectives and systemsMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational webinars, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societiesDevelops and administers the employee suggestion program and periodic employee satisfaction surveysMaintains and updates standard operating procedures for all operational aspects of HRRepresents Human Resources and assists managers in employee disciplinary write-ups and terminations as needed, ensuring that such actions are legally defensible and conducted with respect for the individualWorks with the HR team to develop and implement programs to increase employee engagement, workforce diversity/inclusion and employee retentionInvolves Director of Human Resources in situations which may entail legal liabilityMaintains confidentiality of HR informationDirectly supervises assigned members of the Human Resources team, to include: interviewing, hiring and training staff, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, counseling and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problemsCarries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable lawsStrives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practicesMaintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workersPerforms other duties as assignedEducation and Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related business field required5+ years of Human Resources experience requiredSHRM Certifications preferredSkills and Knowledge: Must be able to read, write and understand English and have strong verbal and written communication skillsAdvanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with company-specific programs and softwareTechnical HR knowledge and proven HR compliance skillsKnowledge of 401k and benefits programsStrong organizational and project management skillsPersonal Attributes: Exceptional interpersonal skills and team playerEmotionally intelligentHighly organized, “can do”, cross-functional collaboratorSelf-motivated and strong work ethicHonesty and integrityContinuous learnerCertifications or LicensesCertifications: SHRM Certifications preferredA valid Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving history is requiredJob Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 – $95,000.00 per yearBenefits:401(k)401(k) matchingDental insuranceEmployee assistance programHealth insuranceLife insurancePaid time offReferral programVision insuranceSchedule:8 hour shiftMonday to FridayAbility to commute/relocate:Ocala, FL 34481: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Application Question(s):Do you have technical HR knowledge and proven HR compliance skills?Do you have knowledge of 401k and benefits programs?What are your salary expectations?Education:Bachelor’s (Preferred)Experience:Human Resources: 5 years (Required)License/Certification:SHRM Certified Professional (Preferred)Work Location: One location
