Position : Human Resources Manager
Job Description : Position Summary:
Responsible for day-to-day employee relations, oversee payroll, conduct orientation and complete paperwork with new hires, maintain benefits program and maintain programs for employee recognition. Assist Hotel Owners and General Manager in all secretarial duties and day to day employee relations.
Essential Functions of the Job:
Processes bi-monthly payroll and provide reports to GM and Controller
Maintains and audits company benefits program.
Oversees employee performance evaluation process.
Conducts orientation for new hires.
Full-Cycle recruiting including staffing agencies
Update Employee Handbook as needed.
Manage employee relation issues in a positive, confidential and timely manner and keep the General Manager up-to-date on these issues.
Distribute reports as needed to include employee rosters & evaluations
Produce birthday and anniversary lists on a monthly basis
Executes employee engagement activities
Maintain and update personnel filing system; create personnel files and ensure their
completion; pull terminated employee files.
Makes suggestions to GM regarding improvements in staffing, departmental transfers, etc.
Benefit and 401k administration
General assistance in all secretarial and administrative duties.
Coordinate and maintain all advertising trade agreements.
Handle all charitable donation requests.
Act as a liaison between the General Manager and employee related inquiries.
Maintain office premise in a neat and orderly manner.
Handle any special projects or assignments required by the General Manager and the Hotel Owners.
Create and/or maintain forms as needed
Handle RTD, Ecopass administration
Additional Job Duties:
Report to work in a neatly groomed and acceptable manner as outlined in the employee handbook.
Reports to shift on time.
Comply with all policies and procedures for Hotel Teatro.
Is familiar with hotel fire and safety procedures. Assist in emergency and security procedures as directed by management.
Complete tasks and projects delegated by your manager and assist other departments as business volumes and staff levels demand.
Physical requirements of the position include:
Standing, walking, sitting, lifting carrying pushing, pulling, climbing, stooping, knelling, crouching, reaching, handling, keyboard operations, talking, hearing and seeing.
Education, Experience, Skills:
2 years college experience preferred with background in both HR
WFN Experience Preferred
Computer knowledge required, specifically Microsoft word and Excel
Good phone/ customer service skills
