Job Description : The Inspectress/Inspector assists in making vacations come true by inspecting guest rooms to ensure quality assurance and room cleanliness standards are met. It is also their responsibility to test all furniture and appliances to see if they are in order and working 100%.The Inspectress/Inspector must have basic knowledge in appliance repair.Essential Functions: Inspect section cleaned by assigned cleaner using designated checklist.Follow all company policies and procedures.Follow all Housekeeping operating procedures.Maintain effective communication within all departments.Assume other authorities pertaining to the area of responsibility as delegated by the Assistant Executive Housekeeper/Executive Housekeeper.Inform and send photos real time using Resort Cleaning AppPrioritize and delegate work assignments housekeeping staff.Direct performance of assigned staff and follow up with corrections where needed.Ascertain staffs training needs and provide such training.Check and Test out all appliances in the property and see if they are all in good working conditionMake sure to double check items that may need replacement or refillMaintain proper inventory and security of housekeeping supplies.Ensure the security of any assigned area and lock all doors.Must be able to work with minimal supervision.Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift.Identify and act upon situations which compromise the department’s standards.Update area status after approving cleanliness and condition in accordance with departmental standards.Complete work orders for maintenance repairs. Follow up and inspect items requiring repairs.Evaluate cleaners performance levels and re-train as neededProvide feedback on staff performance to the Manager.Report disciplinary problems to the Manager.Maintain a flexible work schedule.Follow all safety procedures.Perform all other job requests as assigned by management.Must be able to maintain mobility and work in varying temperatures (Indoors and Outdoors)Must have working knowledge of company Property Management Software or similar toolsComplete all pertinent paper work and logs.Must keep management apprised of status work assignments.Requirements: Must be detailed oriented and clean freakPreferred one year of supervisory skills in housekeeping or a related field.Must be keen observantJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, ContractPay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hourSupplemental Pay:TipsEducation:High school or equivalent (Preferred)Experience:Inspector in Hospitality business: 1 year (Preferred)Shift availability:Day Shift (Preferred)Work Location: Multiple Locations
