Description
Job Summary: Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is known as the #WorldsCoolestIndoorWaterpark! Kalahari’s fully African-themed parks feature in excess of a million gallons of water, slides for days, and a full day of laughs for guests of any age. The Waterpark Lifeguard is an essential role in the operation of the waterpark. A Lifeguard is responsible for the safety of guests in all pools and attractions in the indoor and outdoor waterpark areas; applying knowledge of life-saving skills and first aid to any guest in need.
Qualification Standards
License Required: You must be at 15 years of age and American Red Cross Lifeguard certified. Kalahari will pay for the certification class! Certification class is provided over four consecutive days at Kalahari Resorts.
Requirements:
Ability to present information in one-on-one or small group settings to guests and other associates
Must be able to work and be flexible with shifts, including weekends and holidays
Must be comfortable working in hot/humid environment, indoor and outdoor
Must be able to frequently swim, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
Must be able to occasionally lift, push, or pull, up to 50 pounds of force, and frequently move up to 10 pounds
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Make independent decisions while maintaining strong ethical standards consistent with company policy, rules and the ability to maintain confidential information.
Must be able to thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment that is constantly changing based on guest occupancy, groups, and local businesses.
Public transportation is available to Kalahari through Monroe County Transit Authority (MCTA) by way of the Silver Route.
