Position : Manager, Human Resources – ACC
Job Description : In your role as the Manager, Human Resources (ACC), operating under the North West Company International (NWCI) banner Alaska Commercial Company (ACC), this position works closely with the ACC President and ACC Leaders to formulate and manage the HR functions to deliver value added service to all stratum levels that reflect the business objective of the banner. You will support management and employees in their designated business units on the following HR topics; (but not limited to) talent acquisition, employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, HR reporting, pay and benefits.

Your Role:
Lead, assess, and develop direct report(s) to provide value added services to business partners through the delivery of the ACC strategic plan and HR strategy.
Create, collaborate, execute, and communicate a comprehensive HR operations plan that minimizes organizational risk and maximizes business performance;
Manage the acceptance and resolution of manager and employee inquiries concerning all HR programs and services through a HR Service Center using a formal case management methodology. Track inquiries received and provide best advice to business and HR partners on the resolution of systemic issues.
Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
Liaise with the Learning & Development CoE to deliver information campaigns and training to endure adherence to company policies; align training with current and emerging trends;
Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Develops management capabilities to create and sustain a positive employee relations environment for their employees.
Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning.
Assist international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
Assist in the development of contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers.
Support an environment that promotes trust, motivation, and excellence of all employees, resulting in a highly productive and satisfying business workplace.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or related field;
7+ years’ experience in HR at a service provider in a multistate or geographically dispersed organization (or equivalent combination of education and experience); specific experience with employee relations, workplace investigations, leave management, and accommodations is required;
3+ years’ workforce investigations required;
Extensive experience with EEOC/EEO1 required;
PC proficiency required, including intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and HRIS Software;
Ability to establish partnerships working with management and across organizational lines
Ability to manage complexity and ambiguity under high pressure situations.
High-quality judgment and sound decision-making.
Ability to remain objective in all situations.
Strong interviewing skills.
Able to handle confidential information in a mature and professional manner.
Analytical thinker and problem solver which includes, but not limited to, the ability to recognize trends and provide solutions.
Ability to interpret company policies, procedures and practices
Ability to organize multiple activities which require close attention to detail
Acts with sense of urgency, bias for action.
Ability to be seen as a leader, advisor, and advocate.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Salary: $80,000+ annually, DOE
