Job Description : Job SummaryPariser Dermatology Specialists has been providing dermatology services to the Hampton Roads community for almost 75 years. Today, Pariser Dermatology Specialists has six locations across Hampton Roads and is one of the largest independent dermatology practices in the country.Are you looking for a rewarding career in a fast paced environment? We are currently hiring a Scribe to join our team in our Moh’s surgery department. Candidates must be willing and able to travel and work in our Williamsburg and Suffolk offices every week on a set schedule. Candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to build a strong rapport with providers and patients. Applications submitted on pariserderm.com may be given priority.Responsibilities and DutiesEntering the room with the physician during patient visit to capture and transcribe medical record documentation utilizing EHR and other practice softwarePerform other clerical duties and tasks to improve provider productivity and clinic workflow as assignedRegular and reliable attendance at assigned facility requiredPreparing and sending all documentation to physician for review and approval via authentication of detailed data entry and facility-specific proceduresEntering and documenting all referrals, orders and prescriptions as directed by provider to ensure accurate and complete documentation of patient’s visitQualifications and SkillsAbility to travel and work in our Suffolk and Williamsburg officesPrior experience as a medical assistant and/or scribe is preferredTyping 60 WPM or moreExcellent interpersonal skills; friendly and engaging self-starter that works well in high pressure situationsAbility to problem solve in a strong, confident mannerExperience with electronic medical record systems is preferableExceptional customer service and phone etiquetteExceptional verbal and written communication skillsPariser Dermatology Specialists is an EOE.
