Your role at Clorox:
The Packaging department’s purpose is to produce high quality finished cases of product in a safe and efficient manner that meets customer requirements and minimizes costs. The purpose of this position is to operate and changeover limited equipment and inspect finished goods and packaging materials for defects. Must be able to backup line operators in their absence. Day to day general direction is provided by the Lead Operator and the Packaging Manager.
In this role, you will:
Machine operation for limited equipment identified in checklists.
Machine changeovers for limited equipment identified in checklists.
Perform basic maintenance work on assigned packaging line equipment.
Perform all required quality control checks, record data as required, and follow-up appropriately.
Material handling of all supplies and packaging materials needed for assigned packaging line.
WCO support and WCO Principles, Programs, and Objectives.
Member of Emergency Response Team as assigned.
Involvement in employee training Program.
What we look for:
Desire to work in dynamic team environment.
All required safety and environmental training.
Self motivated work behavior.
Ability to perform as a Clorox licensed forklift operator, with additional qualification for use of attachments.
Basic computer skills.
Trained in Synergy (SPC).
Knowledge of product packaging standards.
Minimum one year department experience.
Knowledge of storage guidelines for all Packaging materials and supplies.
