Position : PERSONNEL EMPLOYEE BENEFITS SERVICES SPECIALIST 1ST
Job Description : Overview:
East Penn is seeking an Employee Benefits Service Specialist to assist employees and their eligible dependents and beneficiaries with understanding and accessing the company benefits. This position will be located in the Personnel office.
Responsibilities:
Assist beneficiaries with Life insurance, disability claims for Core and Voluntary programs
Administer continued coverage programs to include but not limited to:
Leave of Absence
COBRA
Retiree Medical Insurance
Provide plan information to employees in a consistent and accurate manner
Administer internal procedures to assure regulatory compliance and non-discrimination
Coordinate Benefit Department activities with EPM Medical Department related to:
Disability /Family Leave
Out-of-state Disability /Family leave
Process Retirement Plan Loans and Distributions
QDRO administration
Coordinate FCFCU (Credit Union) activities
Reconcile enrollment(s) with carrier review and initiate invoice processing
Qualifications:
Experience in an office environment with office equipment
Accuracy essential
Experience with Insurance and/or Personnel preferred
Excellent communication skills
Ability to use various computer programs; including but not limited to HRIS, Word, and Excel
Math Skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and statistics)
Excellent written communication, ability to develop content for Employee Benefits information and forms
