Job Description : The Role
Tesla is looking for a strong and experienced individuals to serve as catalysts for our vehicle pre-delivery operations in the mid-Atlantic/Southeast U.S. As the Pre-Delivery Operations Specialist, you will join a team of experts and help train and support local leaders across critical functions: vehicle inspections, rectifications, preparation, lot management, and staffing to achieve progressively lower cost/delivery. You will be working cooperatively and cross-functionally with all areas of the Tesla team, especially Field Leadership, Delivery Operations, Factory Quality Engineering, Training, Logistics, Supply management, and Real Estate. The successful candidate will have a strong track record of continuously improving processes. This individual exhibits a can-do attitude and approaches the work with passion, resiliency and determination. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate excellence in their respective fields, to possess the ability to learn quickly and to strive for perfection within a fast-paced environment. The territory for this role will be mid-Atlantic U.S.
Responsibilities
Focused on quality inspection, lot management and vehicle delivery preparation.Help launch new and improve current models by validating their initial quality and establishing quick feedback loops with the Factory Quality team.Pilot and launch new processes to optimize resources, minimize vehicle dwell time and reduce costs of pre-delivery operations and you will work with the field leadership to scale them across your territory of several states. Your processes eliminate waste work, they do not optimize it!Bring the Voice of the Customer (VOC) to stakeholdersLead cross-functional teams for resolution of complex and/or chronic issuesAlign the organization so that information collection and reporting is standardized and uniformWork with the engineering teams to identify and develop tools (digital and non) to support vehicle pre-delivery goals
Requirements
3+ years of applicable experience working on an operations management teamProcess engineering experience preferred.Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical or an Operations field preferredStrong analytical skills and ability to simplify problems and data to “connect the dots”Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and influence at all levels of the organization: from field associates to executive levelDemonstrated ability to think strategically on how to scale the business, while being able to get your hands dirtyDemonstrated ability to get things done quickly and innovatively and to rapidly learn from failures and successesA passion to make your team stronger and the world a better placeShould be an experienced and proven people and P&L manager with a high sense of ownership and accountabilityShould be willing to travel throughout the area of responsibility
