Basic Purpose
Project Coordinator I

Basic Purpose

To organize, facilitate, and coordinate project initiatives from inception through implementation, under the direction, guidance, and mentorship of Project/Program Manager or management. Provide life cycle, day-to-day support to multiple projects and programs of small to medium scope and impact. Demonstrate familiarity with the business unit’s activities, processes, products or services. Monitor project/program to ensure adherence to respective methodology. Maintain effective relationships with internal business partners. Produce routine reports.

Responsibilities

Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit &/or across the organizationDetermine project requirementsPrepare project plans, proposals, schedules, budgets, communications and staffing requirementsAssign responsibilities/tasks to project team members based on priority, staff availability, and resourcesMonitor and maintain project/program schedule, documentation, progress and change requests and provide weekly status updatesEscalate project issues to Project Manager and/or management for resolutionIdentify and track cross project dependencies and impacts; communicate issues and provide solutionsOrganize and attend meetings and distribute minutes to project team membersCollaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignmentsIdentify and recommend process improvements to Project Manager, team, and/or managementPerform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

Familiarity with project/program management processes and methodologiesExposure to working and participating in cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams and projectsAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with a high degree of accuracyAbility to work independently and in a team environmentBasic research, analytical, and problem solving skillsEffective skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisionsEffective organizational, planning and time management skillsEffective verbal and written communication skillsExposure to working with diverse internal and external contactsAbility to compile, organize and present information clearly and conciselyEffective skill interpreting, applying and explaining written and oral regulations, instructions, products and procedures in EnglishEffective in the use of PCs and related software packagesDesired – Working knowledge of Navy Federal products, services, programs, policies and proceduresDesired – Bachelor’s degree, training and/or previous job experience in a related field

Project Coordinator II

Basic Purpose

Demonstrate working knowledge of the business unit’s activities, processes, products or services. Monitor project/program to ensure adherence to respective methodology. Maintain effective relationships with internal business partners. Produce reports for management and make presentations on project/program progress.

Responsibilities

Serve on teams and task groups for projects/initiatives within the business unit &/or across the organization – Assist in leadingDetermine project requirements – Participates inPrepare project plans, proposals, schedules, budgets, communications and staffing requirements – Moderately complex/VariedAnalyzes proposal to identify cross project and resource impacts – Participates inAssign responsibilities/tasks to project team members based on priority, staff availability, and resources – Limited latitudeMonitor and maintain project/program schedule, documentation, progress and change requests and provide weekly status updates – Moderately complex/VariedConduct project audits and review changes to project staffing, scheduling, or resources – Basic/RoutineRun meetings that address a portion of a project – Basic/RoutineCommunicate audit results and provide recommendations to Project Manager and/or management – Basic/RoutineEscalate project issues to Project Manager and/or management for resolution – Limited latitudeIdentify and track cross project dependencies and impacts; communicate issues and provide solutions – Moderate impactOrganize and attend meetings and distribute minutes to project team members – Moderately Complex/VariedCollaborate with various levels of staff to accomplish tasks/assignments – Under supervisionIdentify and recommend process improvements to Project Manager, team, and/or management – Moderate latitudePerform other related duties as assigned

Hours: Monday – Friday; 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (Hybrid Schedule)

Due to COVID-19 and social distancing, this position may require working from home temporarily with plans to return to campus at the location listed once Navy Federal is back to normal operations. The specific logistics for returning to campus will be determined at a future date by individual.

Salary Range: Navy Federal Credit Union assesses market data to establish salary ranges that enable us to remain competitive. You are paid within the salary range, based on your experience, location and market position. The salary range for this position is: $26.50 – $33.50 hourly
